A passion for clients

Treena has counseled and successfully represented entrepreneurs and executives at all stages of their companies as they navigate the twists and turns that arise in the complex area of employment law. Treena regularly advises clients on leave administration, responding to federal and state agency inquiries, employee classification, implementing progressive HR policies and harassment and discrimination investigations.

 The journey of experience

Prior to joining Teqlaa, Treena was the managing counsel for UpTap, a game developer for tablets and smartphones. Earlier in her career, she was in-house counsel and later the managing counsel at Sandlot Games, a developer and producer of online games where she focused on workplace issues, IP policy, protection, licensing, and trademark registrations. She also held in-house positions at Washington Employers (now Archbright) and Labor Ready. Treena currently serves on the Business Advisory Board at Everett Community College and her growing interests include the intersection of technology licensing and the arts.

Treena obtained her BA in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Virginia and her JD from Seattle University School of Law. Prior to pursuing her legal career, she studied theatre and dance. She continues to pursue her passion for the arts by volunteering in the local arts scene and teaching a variety of dance fitness classes.

 At home

Treena lives with her husband and their three children in the beautiful city of Bothell. During her free time, you can find Treena volunteering at dance fitness events to raise money for various causes such as domestic violence awareness and disaster relief efforts such as the landslide in Oso, WA and the Haiyan typhoon.
